Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani said on Monday that the Army would be withdrawn from Sui and Gwadar in the next two months, and in future no operation will take place in Balochistan without the permission of the provincial government. During an address at the inauguration of Government Institute of Technology set up for vocational training of the local youth in Gwadar, General Kayani said the Army has been protecting the people in Balochistan. He said efforts are being made to bring Balochistan into the national mainstream. In this regard, he said that 5,000 Baloch youth will join the Pakistan Army later this month. The COAS also said that the Pakistan Army has been playing a positive role in the country’s economic stability as well. He said the country is facing internal threats and pointed out that countries break up due to internal threats. He said the people and the Army will have to jointly defend the country and strengthen defence through cooperation.

He said after the withdrawal of the Army, Sui and Gwadar would be handed over to the Frontier Constabulary and in future the Army would not take part in operations in these areas. General Kayani said a strong army is possible when the people are strong and prosperous. He announced that Army Medical College would soon be established in Gwadar. He said the Army would assist the Baloch people in the development process of the province. He said the Army is playing its role to remove the sense of deprivation amongst the Baloch nationals. He said the Soviet Union’s example tells how internal rifts break up a country. “It was a major power but when it lost its public support, it got dismembered,” he said. The COAS said only public strength can strengthen the Army. “We all are equally responsible for defending our motherland.” The COAS reiterated that the Army would be bound to the orders of the provincial government with respect to operations in Balochistan. He said “we want to see Pakistan safe and strong. The Army is guarantee of the country’s defence. However, national unity is inevitable for making country’s defence impregnable. A strong army is not enough for country’s defence as everyone would have to play the due role”.

Pakistan Army under attack - 25 soldiers martyred in Mardan bomb blast

A bomb blast targeting a military parade in northwest Pakistan has left at least 25 soldiers dead and more than 45 others injured, a Pakistani military official says. The official said that a teenage bomber, disguised as a schoolchild, blew himself up in Punjab Regiment Center in the cantonment area of Mardan on Thursday morning, killing 25 soldiers and leaving more than 45 others injured. The death toll is expected to rise further as most of the injured are said to be in critical condition, the report added. The explosion took place inside the army training center in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when security personnel were busy in routine training and parade. The banned Pakistani Taliban outfit, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, has claimed responsibility for the suicide attack, sources said. A rescue team and several ambulances were seen heading to the blast site and emergency was declared in the city's military hospital.

Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani condemned the attack, adding that such cowardly attacks cannot affect the morale of the security agencies and resolve of the nation to eradicate terrorism. Pakistani Taliban militants backed by CIA and RAW have vowed to step up attacks on Pakistani security forces in the region to avenge a fresh offensive against terrorist hideouts in the tribal district of Mohmand Agency. Pakistan's military launched an offensive against the so called terrorists named "Pakistani Talibans" in Mohmand Agency last month. Mardan is some 50 kilometers east of Mohmand tribal district and officials said that a surge in bomb and suicide attacks was a reaction to the operation. Security situation in Pakistan is deteriorating and the country's military has increasingly been targeted by bombers.

Earlier on Monday, two bomb explosions outside two police stations in the Pakistani city of Karachi left two people injured. On January 13, five Pakistani soldiers were killed and seven others injured in separate attacks by unknown assailants across the country. Two soldiers lost their lives in a bomb attack near the town of Bannu, the principal city of the Bannu district in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. In yet another act of violence, two security personnel lost their lives in a roadside blast in South Waziristan region on the same day. One more soldier died when militants fired mortar shells at a military camp in northwest Pakistan near the Afghan border in Tehsil Baizai of Mohmand Agency. Nearly 4,000 people have so far been killed in the attacks carried out by the CIA/RAW sponsored Taliban outfit throughout Pakistan since July 2007.

ANP, the party of Traitors!

A 5 billion Rupees scam of the RAW and CIA assets in Pakistan i.e ANP has been caught by a leading media group. It says that a company named M/s NI associates which is owned by one of the important men of ANP, purchased a land at a very diddled-um price.


The Cheif Minister of N.W.F.P, Mr Ameer Haider Hoti dilebrately cancelled a leased agreement which was signed 12 years ago. 

Mardan is very good place for cultivating olives. About 8.8% of the total land of Mardan district is suitable for cultivating good quality olives, while the overall production is taken from 13.2% land which is a very good percentage. But the steps taken by the puppet has caused the demise of the entire industry of olives in Mardan.

The market price of 170 acres of agricultural land has been estimated but the commercial value of the olive trees has still not been given. These olive trees were gifted by Italy and Turkey to make Pakistan self-sufficient in edible oil industry. Recently the ambassador of Italy, H.E. Vincenzo Prati visited National Agriculture Research Institute - Islamabad. A few days ago, while the ANP traitors were too busy in stealing country's wealth and killing people, a group of 100 policemen led by a DSP raided Pakistan Oil Development Board (PODB)’s research centre. The lease agreement between Provincial Auqaf deparment and PODB was for 14 years, i.e it was to end in 2012 but the corrupt leadership of ANP ended it prematurely to fill up their swiss Bank lockers.

Mr. Mushtaq who is the provincial director of PODB wrote a letter to Administrator Provincial Auqaf about the police raid and said that it was against the national interest by which he actually meant ANP's interst. In these lands, 12 different varieties of Italian and Turkish origin were planted on 140 acres. Students of Agriculture University were already doing research to upgrade the seeds. The farms were installed with many of the latest facilities like green houses, metrological stations, tube wells and watering system etc. While replying to these allegations, the Information minister of NWFP Mian Iftikhar Hussain, yesterday on Express News, lost his temper and started abusing and blackmailing Mr.Rauf Klasra, the Editor of Investigation on Express Tribune. Many people saw the real face of these traitors when they were interrupted on their corruption. At last when he had no explanation, he anounced that ANP government is ready to sell the disputed land in an open-auction. The quetion to be asked is "Mr. Iftikhar, why didn't you auction it before the revelation of this scam?" He gave the excuse that the previous party was not increasing the rate of the land.


This is the second time that such a big corruption of ANP is caught red-handedly. Last time Ghulam Bilour was busted by a patriotic column writer Maryam Gillani when he tried to make illegal inductions in the railway from his constituency. On this Maryam Gillani wrote an article due to which she was suspended from her railway job. She commented:
"That is ridiculous. I am a tax payer and railway is a public sector organization and why we should lift the load Bilour’s people without merit?"
